Usually involving sexually-oriented issues. “Fallen Angels / Teen Prostitution” is a staple. If websites had “sweeps week” we might do a column on “THE UNC DANCE TEAM”. You reckon?

Satisfied customers told their friends about “this great Chinese restaurant ….” ….. or “this great Mexican restaurant”. Chico & Chou didn’t care what “they” called it so long as they were happy. On Tuesday, “CaptainK”, an anonymous poster to a USAToday article on Brand’s condition wrote “Die a horrible death you jerk. Serves you right for ruining Indiana basketball and college football too.” …… Bud Selig, Roger Goodell, David Stern, even John Swofford and Dick Baddour have their own versions of “CaptainK”. …… I watched the recent UNC v NCSU game over at some friends’ house. Mrs Friend asked what I would write about it. …… Among the casual clichés of recorded history “Jack of all trades and Master of none” ranks in the mid 20s in the latest CNN/USAToday poll. It implies that the person being described has a modest amount of adroitness in numerous areas but is not accomplished in any of them. Am I the only one noticing that we insist upon ascribing universal knowledge to those adroit in a single area. When, in truth, they “don’t know jack”.

The issues within that program over 20+ years ought to concern FSU alumni. …… The Butch-blinging of Kenan Stadium has been tabled for the forseeable future.
