Texas Fat Cats ready to Ax controversial AD Steve Patterson.  With both his two revenue sports in turmoil, the “cold, impersonal” Patterson has finally managed to piss off too many “Big Hats w/ Lots of Cattle & Oil Wells”.

When Houston Billionaire Trial Lawyer – Joe Jameil – did not renew his luxury suite at Darryl Royal Stadium overlooking “Joe Jameil Field” was a Bad Sign for the unlikeable Patterson.

Patterson’s predecessor Deloss Dodd was there “forever” but Patterson was fired after only 22 months.

ADs probably should not “piss off” anyone but especially when your #1 sport – Football – is so pathetic it calls “beating Rice” = “turning around our program”.   OUCH!

Wonder if Texas Fat Cats know that “Dickie” is available?  Maybe I should let them know ???

OK…. Likely NOT “Dickie”….. but Mack Brown is a popular choice by many OrangeBloods.

So, they canned the AD and brought in an Attorney (Ex UT player) for $750K (annual) to oversee things whilst they find a new AD. I SUPPOSE that they could hire a combo of Kevin White (Duke AD @ $900K) or Bubba Cunningham (UNC AD @ $550K) or Debbie Yow (NCSU AD @ $700K….but that does NOT include Bobby Purcell whom… Read more »

Translation: Watch your back Charlie Strong. Oh yeah and John Gruden awaits their call. I’m pretty sure tassel loafers and Weejuns ain’t a real big deal in Austin.

They’ve already called and asked me what to do. But you assumed that.
