The headline Black Mayor Does “Perp Walk” has become a familiar one in recent years. One sees that headline and the immediate Pavlovian response IS – “Which one this time?”
If the answer is “a Democrat Hero”.
And that follow-up question IS – “Which one this time?”
This time the “which one” is ………

Ex-New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin sentenced to 10 years
NEW ORLEANS —Former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin, the businessman-turned-politician who became the worldwide face of the city after Hurricane Katrina, was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday.
Nagin, 58, was ordered to report to federal prison Sept. 8. Nagin, also ordered to pay restitution of $82,000, was found guilty Feb. 12 of fraud, bribery and related charges involving crimes that took place before and after Katrina devastated the city in August 2005.
A jury convicted Nagin of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes — money, free vacation trips and truckloads of free granite for his family business — from businessmen who wanted work from the city or Nagin’s support for various hurricane recovery projects.
Prosecutors asked the court to send Nagin to prison for a long time. They argued that he was found guilty of 20 of 21 counts in the indictment, and that he participated in and orchestrated a years-long conspiracy to enrich himself and his family.
The government also argued that Nagin spent years covering up his crimes and that his testimony during the two-week trial showed an “astounding unwillingness to accept any responsibility for his actions.”

Kinda easy to forget which crooked black elected officials we’re talking about. Ain’t it.
Whenever we do an update on “Another Black Mayor” I run into the same problem. A problem that gets more problematic each time. I keep leaving out a bunch of’em.
I easily recall The Al Capone of Crooked Black Mayors – DC’s notorious Marion “Big Daddy” Berry.
That big ol’ thug up in Detroit is easy…. Kwame Kilpatrick. Kwame is doing a 28 years stretch from 38 charges. His city – Detroit – has since declared bankruptcy.
And, of course, closer to home is Charlotte’s very own Patrick Cannon – The Black Prince of Mecklenburg. The last we heard, Pat was dottin’ I’s and crossin’ T’s on a plea bargain to reduce his stay-over in a GrayBar Hilton.
Rather than simply goggle “Crooked Black Mayors of the past ten years” I’ll ask you people to add any/all others you recall.
I once asked a prominent AfAm member of an urban area “how come you folks do dat?” “Dat” being graft, corruption and general racketeering that involves blatant stealing from the public coffers. He just grinned and said “….’cuz we get away with it most times.” Then he just laffed.
Hard to argue with that logic.
I inquired further…… “Is this some twisted logic wrapped up in reparational bulls**t that white folks owe it to you?”
He said: “No. We just figure folks stoopid enough to vote us in to office ain’t gonna be smart enuff to catch us stealing from’em.”
Can’t argue with that logic either.
Of course there have been non-black mayors and other elected officials who have “perp walked” their sorry asses across the news. Being a low-down lyin’ scoundrel is not an ethnic peculiarity. And, admittedly not all of those are of a Democratic persuasion either….. sigh, sniff.
But when it’s a Big City Black Mayor it just seems to take on a whole circus atmosphere with all the wailin’ and acryin’ and acarryin’ on. Kinda like whenever Sheila Jackson-Lee opens her pie hole.
OK….. Nancy Pelosi is as insane as Sheila and Nancy isn’t black…. any more than Elizabeth Warren is an Injun’ ….. or Slick Willie is black….. or Hillary is broke….. or Joe Biden has a brain…. or…..

I was checking out BobLee’s incredible insights earlier today and it dawned on me. Those two young’ans – Rashad McCants & PJ Hairston – Lordy, lordy dem two is soooo dumb that Ol’ BullyBarber wouldn’t let’em in his Hoot & Hate mob. You got to be REALLY dumb to be THAT DUMB.
